Juana La Loca
Juana La Loca is an Argentinian band founded by Rodrigo Martin in 1988.
In 1991 they became Argentina's first "sonic" band, by releasing a cassette titled "Autoejecucion" through Daniel Melero's independent record label.
At the beginning of 1993 they went into the studio to record their first album, "Electronauta", produced by Daniel Melero.
After recording their first album, the band began a long series of gigs along with Los Brujos which allowed them to play in several venues in Argentina.
In April 1994 they were Depeche Mode's supporting act playing for an audience of 15000 people.
Their second album titled Revolucion was toured in many neighbouring countries.
Their third record, Vida Modelo (1997), was recorded in California, along with important musicians, such as Billy Preston.
In 1998 they played more than sixty gigs, two of them as Oasis' supporting act at the Luna Park in front of 10000 souls.
In 2005 they released an album titled Casablanca. The recording process took place at a rented house in Temperley, in the outskirts of Buenos Aires.
Nowadays the band is touring Casablanca all over Argentina and planning to play in other countries where the album was edited.
